This Privacy Policy explains how MCMCO CC (registration number 2008/038487/23), trading as MCM Group, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use this website or contact us about LuxLander products. LuxLander is a product range of MCMCO CC. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

- “We”, “us”, “our” means MCMCO CC, trading as MCM Group, including its LuxLander product range.
- “You” means the person using this website or contacting us, or the company on whose behalf that person acts.
- “Personal information” has the meaning given in POPIA: information relating to an identifiable, living natural person or an existing juristic person.
- “Service providers” means third parties who process information on our behalf, such as email, hosting and spreadsheet providers.
3. What we collect
Information you give us when you request a quotation, complete a contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp us:
- first name and surname;
- company name;
- email address and phone number;
- city or town;
- the product you are interested in and the content of your message;
- whether you would like to receive special offers from us.
Information collected automatically when you use the website (“usage data”): your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit.
4. Why we use it
We use your personal information only for these purposes:
- to respond to your enquiry and prepare a written quotation;
- to conclude and perform a sale or service agreement with you;
- to contact you by email, phone, SMS or WhatsApp about your enquiry, quotation or order;
- to send you news and special offers, but only if you ticked the box to receive them or you are an existing customer who has not opted out. You can unsubscribe at any time;
- to keep the website secure, and to understand and improve how it is used;
- to comply with our legal obligations.
Our lawful basis is your consent, the performance of a contract or steps towards one at your request, our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and compliance with the law.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed:
- Within MCM Group: with our branches and sales staff in George, Cape Town, Midrand and Bloemfontein, so the right team can help you.
- Service providers: with providers who host this website, deliver email and store enquiry records, for example Google Workspace (Google Sheets). They may only use your information on our instructions and must keep it secure.
- Authorities: with authorities or courts where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
- Business transfers: with a buyer or successor if our business is sold, merged or restructured. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your consent: with anyone else, for any other purpose you have agreed to.
6. Transfers outside South Africa
Some of our service providers, such as Google, store information on servers outside South Africa. We only use providers that are subject to laws, binding rules or agreements that give your information a level of protection substantially similar to POPIA, as section 72 of POPIA requires.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires, for example tax and accounting records. Enquiries that do not lead to a sale are deleted or de-identified when they are no longer needed. We may keep usage data for longer where it is used to secure or improve the website.
8. How we protect it
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access controls and secured systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we will notify you and the Information Regulator if your information is compromised, as POPIA requires.
9. Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of it;
- ask us to correct, update or delete your personal information;
- object to our processing of your personal information, including for direct marketing;
- withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
